The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED:

(a)

that, subject to the agreement

(b)

of the Secretary of State, the

proposed clause 21(g) of the

Legislative Council (Electoral

Provisions) Bill at Annex D to

the memorandum should be amended

to provide that a a member of any

a

parliament, assembly or council,

whether central or local, of any

place outside Hong Kong or a

salaried functionary of

government of such a place shall

be disqualified from nomination

as a candidate, (paragraph 19 of

the memorandum refers);

that the proposed modifications

to the plans set out in the

White Paper, as described in

paragraph 32 of the memorandum,

should be approved; with the

following additions

(i) that

the

original

requirement that, in order

to be entitled to be

nominated as a candidate in

a

functional

constituency,
