28. (1) Section 2 shall not apply in respect of any notice served under section 10(1A) of the principal Ordinance before 1 July 1985.

(2) Section 3(b) shall not apply in respect of any agreement lodged under section 18(2)(c) of the principal Ordinance before 1 July 1985.

(3) Section 4(b) shall not apply in respect of any proposed agreement a copy of which is submitted under section 28(2) of the principal Ordinance before 1 July 1985.

(4) Section 9 shall apply in relation to a fee paid under section 51(4B)(b) of the principal Ordinance before 1 July 1985 as it applies in relation to a fee paid on or after

that date.

(5) Section 11(b) shall not apply in respect of any agreement lodged under section 52A(2)(b) of the principal Ordinance before 1 July 1985.

(6) Sections 13, 20, 21(b) and 26 shall have effect in relation to proceedings pending on 1 July 1985 as they have effect in relation to proceedings commenced on or after that date.

(7) Section 14(b) shall not apply in respect of a notice lodged under section 55(1) of the principal Ordinance before 1 July 1985.

(8) Section 15 shall not apply in respect of applications under section 57 of the principal Ordinance that are received by the Commissioner of Rating and Valuation before 19 December 1985.

(9) Section 17 shall apply in relation to a sub-tenancy created before 1 July 1985 as it applies in relation to a sub-tenancy created on or after that date.

(10) Section 19(a) shall not apply in respect of a tenancy that is submitted before 1 July 1985 for endorsement under section 116(4) of the principal Ordinance.

(11) Section 25 shall not apply in relation to any fee paid before 1 July 1985, or payable on or after that date by reason of anything occurring before that date.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Bills of Sale (Amendment) Ordinance Short title and 1985 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by commencement. notice in the Gazette.

Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting “the Colony" Amendment of and substituting the following---

section 3. (Cap. 20.)

“Hong Kong”.

Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "the Colony" Amendment of wherever it occurs and substituting in each case the following—

section 7.

“Hong Kong”.

4.

Section 22(3) of the principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by deleting “of $1, subject to such regulations as may be prescribed❞ and

substituting the following-

(Cap. 20, sub. leg.)

"prescribed in the Bills of Sale (Fees) Regulations”; and

(b) by deleting "of $1 for each bill of sale inspected” and substituting the

following-

"prescribed in the Bills of Sale (Fees) Regulations".
