M CHAU Tak-hay, 32

Aged 42.

Joined the civil service in July

1967. He has served for the majority of his career in

the former Commerce and Industry and Trade, Industry

and Customs Departments, where he became a Deputy

Commissioner in July 1979. He transferred as an

Administrative Officer Staff Grade 3 in July 1982 while

posted to Geneva as Counsellor (Hong Kong Affairs).

Following his return from Geneva he has been Deputy

Secretary (Health and Welfare) since March 1984.

Mr Donald TSANG Yam-kuen

Aged 41. Joined the civil service in January

1967, and was promoted to his present rank of Administrative

Officer Staff Grade 3 in April 1935. He has

experience

in the Government Secretariat and City and New Territories

Administration where he was District Officer Sha Tin from

1292 to 1994. He has been a Deputy Director of Trade since

September 1984.

Mo Mayer NG Chak-lam, J?

Aged 46. Joined the civil service in September

1963 and was promoted to his present rank of Administrative

Officer Staff Grade C in April 1930. He has held a wide

variety of posts in the Administrative Service, notably

in the Civil Service Branch and in the former Home Affairs

Branch, in addition to his last appointment as Deputy

Regional Secretary (Hong Kong and Kowloon).
