1. I submit a draft Private Secretary letter seeking
authority from No 10 to issue a telegram, draft attached,
to our posts in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore
giving instructions about notifying host governments of
the Prime Minister's visit to China and Hong Kong. The
telegram also contains,
briefing in case news of the Prime Minister's possible
Easter visit to Sri Lanka should leak in Columbo.
FED, HKD and SAD have been consulted and are content.
