It will be the responsibility of (Her

Majesty's Government) (the Hong Kong Government)

to meet the cost of the monitoring team, but the

Hong Kong Government will provide (on a reimbursable

basis) such resources (of accommodation and supporting

staff) as you and the Hong Kong Government agree to

be necessary.

5.

It will be necessary for you to take up your

duties in Hong Kong not later than

so that the

necessary arrangements for the setting up of the

Monitoring Office can be completed. Whilst in Hong

Kong if there are any matters which you wish to bring to

the attention of the Secretary of State or this Government,

I would be grateful if you would address them to me.

6.

The terms and conditions of your appointment

are as set out in the separate letter dated
