That this House, having considered the views of the people
of Hong Kong as set out in the reports of the Assessment
Office and the Independent Monitoring Team published in
White Paper miscellaneous No 24 (1984), approves Her
Majesty's Government's intention to sign the agreement on
the future of Hong Kong negotiated with the Chinese Government
which was published in White Paper miscellaneous No 20 (1984)
