As this curvey was not conducted by random sampling, there may be some limitation in the results. However, of the 2,100 questionnaires gent out, there were 1,711 returns, giving a fairly high return rate of 81.48% for self-administered questionnaires. This shows the concern of Southern District residents for Hong Kong's future.

On the question of whether Hong Kong is part of Chinese territory, 83.99% of the respondents foll that Hong Kong is part of Chinese territory and that sovereignty belongs to Chin. (See Table 2)
