YOUR VISIT TO THE FAR EAST

1. We spoke about briefing for your forthcoming visit to Hong Kong. I attach copies of:-

a) Our General Brief on Hong Kong;

b) the White Paper on the future of Hong Kong;

c) brief personality notes on senior officials

and Unofficials whom you may meet in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Government will publish a White Paper on the further development of representative Government on 21 November. I will pass you an advance copy before your departure.

2. We have now received Hong Kong's suggested programme 37for your visit (telno 3474). This seems to be as thorough

and wide-ranging as possible in the short time available.
