That the following clause be inserted after clause 12 -

"Amendment of section 24.

12A. The principal Ordinance is amended

in section 24 by deleting "and 23C" and

substituting the following

10 23C and 23E".".

That clause 14 be amended by inserting after subsection (2)

of new section 24C the following

"(3)

Subsection (2) shall be deemed to have

had effect from 1 April 1976, so, however, that

nothing in that subsection as read with this

subsection shall have effect in relation to any

legal proceedings commenced before 5 August 1983.".
