would be required to man a major check point with vehicular traffic facilitics. For the whole of the boundary, STK, LMC, and Tai siu Mei Sha, the Chinese side would need a reinforcement staff of a few thousand.

(f) When the boundary becomes opera-

tional, passengers going to the SSEZ and destinations beyond it (i.e. Baoan, Guengzhou or other parts of China) via Lo Wu and Kan Kam To would be segregated by the Shenzhen side to receive different degree of formalities. While STK would mainly serve traffic to and from the Tai Pang Wan cemetery, similar arrangement would be made at the proposed LMC Crossing Point.

(8) Passengers from other parts of

China would have to hold special permit to enter the Zone. Likewise, Shenzhen passengers proceeding to Baoan and the North (including those who have entered via Lo ka and Han Kam To) would be cleared through the major boundary check points.

Whilst Shenzhen Frontier Inspection Station nowadays takes only seconds to clear a passenger, formalities with other bureaus mentioned above alway: cause lengthy waiting time. According to Mr HU Zhiquan, Deputy Director, Shenzhen Frontier Inspection
