3. I should be grateful for suggestions for additions or deletions from this list together with an idea of whether the subject is defensive or to be raised and if so with which of the
Secretary of State's interlocutors. Nil returns are required. I should also welcome suggestions for subjects which we would wish to put on the agenda for the Secretary of State's formal meeting with Mr Shultz at which we expect senior State Department officials to be present.

The deadline for briefs to reach NAD is lunch-time on Friday, 8 July. All briefs will be required to be in final form with the heading as at the top of this minute, Points to Make on pink paper and Essential Facts on white. Fifteen copies will be required.
5. It is also probable that Mr Shultz will stop-over in London from 4 to 6 July on his way home from the ASEAN Conference. We
