BRIEFING
1 The Secretary of State and Mr Luce are to meet the Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tan Sri Ghazali Shafie; Mr Luce on 25 July where he will be host to Ghazali at the Royal Tournament, and the Secretary of State at Carlton Gardens on 26 July where there will be talks followed by a working lunch. Ghazali, who will be a guest of government, will be also calling on Mr Cecil Parkinson.
2 I would be grateful if Departments could prepare short briefs: Points to Make (Pink) and Essential Facts (White). They should be in final form other than the two parts of brief 3 which we shall be happy to put together and type in final. The briefs should be headed Visit of Malaysian Foreign Minister and should be numbered. The briefs should be sent to Nic Bown of this Department by close of play on Thursday 21 July. The list of briefs is as follows:
