The Department of Industry (DOI) have told us that
Lord Kadoorie, Chairman of the China Light and Power
Company, is to call on the Prime Minister at
on
am/pm
August. The main purpose of Lord Kadoorie's
call (for which the DOI will provide the main brief) is
to discuss with the Prime Minister the Guangdong Nuclear
Project, but we understand he may also raise our talks with
the Chinese on the future of Hong Kong.
If Lord Kadoorie does raise the future of Hong Kong,
the Prime Minister may wish to draw on the points in the
attached brief.
