Dr Mertes' talks with Lady Young.
5. PS/Mr Rifkind is making arrangements for advisers at the talks beginning at 1115, Meanwhile Miss Marsden, ECD(I), is available to take this part (the Community) of the record. Mr Rifkind does not expect a notetaker to attend at the German Embassy after Dr Ruhfus's lunch. WED can provide a notetaker for the UNLOSC and African items, if they are in fact reached before lunch.
6. Mr Young will be tied up with talks with the Germans on rating of cultural premises until mid-afternoon today.
