out of severe recession. The Canadians will be

interested in the Prime Minister's account of her

handling of the British economy. Among international

economic questions, the prospects for the US economy and

developing country issues (in which Mr Trudeau takes a

personal interest) are likely to predominate. Mr Trudeau

will also wish to hear the Prime Minister's views on the

organisation of the 1984 Summit. ·

current difficulties with the European Community, for

example, over their exports of newsprint and fish.
