Mr. Moris

WANG Kuang's Departure from Hong Kong

Mr LI Ruohe of NCNA informed the APA on 27 May,

during the course of a call on other business, that

Mr WANG Kuang would be leaving Hong Kong finally by

through train at 1 p.m. today. I thought it right to

go and see him off.

When I got to Hung Hom at about 1240 WANG Kuang

and his wife were ensconced in the VIP Room with all

the NCNA top brass, senior officials from other

communist orgainsations (though I saw noone from the

Bank of China), and a number of other Hong Kong personalities

among whom Mr Li Ka Shing was prominent. I had five

minutes on the sofa with WANG Kuang (dressed for departure

in cadre uniform). He spoke warmly of your dinner

for him last week and asked for his good wishes to be

conveyed to you. I conveyed yours in return. He also suggested that I should go to see him when in Peking

but did not indicate what he would be doing there.

Mr LI Jusheng (dressed in suit and tie) was leaving by the same train to attend the NPC. He expects to return early in the second half of next month.
