5. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Ordinance or any other Crown enactment, whenever any sum of money is payable to the Crown under may accept
payment an enactment or by order of a court, whether by way of taxes, duties, in other fees, penalty, costs or otherwise, the court or the Government official to currencies. whom payment falls to be made may accept payment of the equivalent sum of money in any other currency freely circulating in the Territory and acceptable to the court or official.
6. The following Ordinances of Mauritius, in so far as they apply Repeal. to the Territory, are repealed:
The Currency Ordinance, 1898, No. 11 of 1898.
The Mauritius Currency Ordinance, 1962, No. 39 of 1962.
