introducing ordinances but legislative programmes are the

responsibility of the individual territory and are subject

to change. No accurate estimate' of timing can be given.

There have been representations made by the Legislative

Council of St Helena. However, the Governor has written

to councillors individually explaining that the British

Nationality (Falklands Islands) Bill should not be

regarded as a precedent for other dependent territories.
