revealed that she understood the deceased to be an industrious man who worked in her elder brother's factory, the Blue Bird Plastic Factory, in Chai Wan for 3-4 years before he was killed. According to
the deceased was said to be a hard working person who was thrifty with his purse. Thus he could save more than $15,000 Hong Kong Currency to buy a wooden hut before he would arrange his family to come here from China. SUMMARY
The Prisoner was brought up in a fishing folk family under an unfavourable environment as his parents were poor and being ignorant of modern education but adopting a non-interfering attitude towards the Prisoner. Consequently he was left to himself most of the time. He went actray at his adolescence when he met bad elements and this was reflected in his previous criminal record that he had committed five offences before his present serious crime. In addition, his working pattern was also unsteady as he had worked only intermittently. Most of the time, he was engaged in listless business and this was revealed by himself and confirmed by his former.cohabitee and other relatives. Though his mother still regarded him to be a filial son, his cohabitee considered him to be an irresponsible person. None-the-less, his parents were willing to care for the Prisoner's young daughter despite the separation of Prisoner and his cohabitee. The Prisoner himself showed no worries about his daughter's future living nor did he feel remorseful for his misdeeds at the interview.
