2. Hong Kong have been told that the wording in, their passports will have to follow the BNA, ie British Dependent Territories Citizen: Hong Kong. It is against this that the Governor is appealing in his letter of 16 March Ta

The present position on the letter is that NTD are consulting their Legal Adviser with a view to going back to the Home Office.

As you know it was the Home Office Legal Adviser's view that the wording in the Act had to be followed.
