although in my minute of 21 December 1981 | (attached) I preferred a right A of abode endorsement, by my minute of 19 February 1982 (attached) I had
come round to thinking this was an acceptable solution and Nationality and Treaty Department also favoured this. It seems a rubber stamp can be cut small enough to contain this title (Mr Paterson's minute of
NR-5 February 1982). I am not familiar with immigration forms but perhaps the stamp could be used to save space; I am not enthusiastic about the Governor's suggestion of "British (Hong Kong)".
