The possible railway extension would give travel times of about 50 minutes to the Hung Hom Terminus in Kowloon. Access to HK Island could be gained via taxi at Hung Hom or via the MTR at Kowloon Tong. A special terminus could be provided for the airport trains in Hung Hom station. This could avoid any delays caused by formalities at the border.
