Members agreed that there might be justification

for very selective exceptions to the rule in paragraph 8

of the memorandum, whereby influential MPs in exceptional

h cases might be asked to prolong their stay at the

Government's expense so as to undertake an official

programme.

THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO LONDON

The Governor briefed members on his recent visit

to London.

(c) AUTOMATIC MACHINE ESTABLISHMENTS

The Chief Secretary informed Members that a memorandum

dealing with their points raised had been prepared, but

would be deferred until the Commissioner for Television

and Entertainment Licensing returned from leave.

The Chief Secretary informed Members that following

the recent leak of a memorandum to the press there would

be a full investigation, which would necessarily involve

Members being interviewed as well as officials.

(e) THE LITTLE FLOWER CLUB

The Secretary for Home Affairs reported that this

Club existed for the benefit of 180 Portuguese ladies. It

had very limited facilities, and he had asked his staff to

investigate the possibility of this and other similar clubs

in the same area being developed more extensively with a

view to possible greater public use.
