Mr Hal Miller (Bromsgrove and Redditch): To ask the Secretary o State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what preparations are being made for the Prime Minister's visit to China.

It has been agreed in principle that the Prime Minister should

visit China in late September. We are discussing the visit

with the Chinese Government and are making preliminary

administrative arrangements.
