VISIT TO HONG KONG BY LORD BELSTEAD
1. Our Minister of State Lord Belstead is visiting Hong Kong at the beginning of next month. He will need a brief on the Guangdong nuclear project giving background and any points that he may need to make during his wide-ranging contacts there both inside and outside the Hong Kong Government. There is likely to be public interest particularly in the safety aspect of the project.
2.
We should be very grateful if you could please send a draft brief to Mr T W M Smith in our Hong Kong and General Department (room WH 312) by close of play on Tuesday 23 November. I am sorry for this tight deadline at so busy a time.
