Air Services talks with the Chinese began on 7 December in
London. They are still in progress. Cannot comment on
the likely outcome.
11. SHENZHEN
Welcome the creation of Special Economic Zones as they facilitate commercial cooperation between China and overseas partners and enable Hong Kong to play a greater role in China's modernisation, so helping to maintain confidence in the future.
Particularly welcome the recent agreement providing for increased cross-border cooperation. Practical cooperation is
beneficial to, and in the interests of, all concerned.
