On conclusion of the briefing the Lord Privy Seal expressed interest in the volume of cross border traffic and the pace and nature of the Shenzhen Economic Zone development. Mention was also made of the likely require- ment for a second bridge at Man Kam To, He also viewed a military 4-man patrol and expressed interest in their equipment.
Matters relating to the future of Hong Kong were not
