Where the lead department for a particular brief is not in the FCO, I should be grateful if the relevant FCO shadow department would obtain from, or clear with, their contacts in other Departments, an appropriate resumé. NED will wish to note that the Department of Energy are planning to produce two extra briefs on Potential Collaboration on Fast Breeder Reactors and on Framatome's Interest in PWR Procurement. (We are discussing separately with ECD(I) arrangements for the briefs on European Questions.)
7. I shall be asking separately for contributions to the Bilateral Questions brief, which may be affected by my visit to Paris tomorrow.
8. I shall also be circulating shortly the draft steering brief based on our earlier paper on Objectives and Tactics which a number of you will have seen.
9. I shall be asking later for contributions to any separate briefing required for the Secretary of State's talks with M. Cheysson.
