I have received the enclosed reply from the Council Secretariat to my letter of 29 March. In effect, we are invited to suggest textual amendments of our own to cover our point.

2.

In the light of your letter of 1 March I would propose to suggest the following amendments to Council Document 10760/81 (RELEX 84):

(i) Annex I: p3. Asterisk Hong Kong, with a footnote saying 'Dependent territory of the United Kingdom;

(ii)

Annex II: p3. Asterisk Hong Kong, with a footnote saying 'Dependent Territory of the UK'; expand what is now the second footnote to read 'British Trade Commission: has no diplomatic functions'; and reorganise layout of asterisks and footnotes accordingly.

Could you let me know if this is all right?
