(1) Consultancy

(2) Revision of
electricity Supply Ordinance (Cap. 103)
Purpose
To enable consul-
tants, on a task basis, to examine the technical aspects of electricity generation by the two major power companies.
To replace the present Ordinance, which is out of date. The aim is to seek XCo's endorsement of a number of pro- posed changes, which will form the basis of drafting
instructions
for the new Bill.
Progress made and present position
The consultants, Burns & Roe and DEMS have agreed that a revised preliminary report will be issued on 1.11.82 and the Final Report by 1.12.82.
The draft XCo memorandum has been finalised for approval to issue.
Next quarter target
The Government will discuss the revised preliminary report with the power companies and pass all comments to the consultants for compiling their final report, which should be ready by December.
For discussion by XCo in November 1982.
