Scheme (HOS) M

Purpose

Through the agency of the Housing Authority to provide flats for sale to families with monthly incomes below $6,500, and to public housing tenants, regardless of family incomes, who relinquish their rental flat.

Progress Made & Present Position

During the quarter about one-third of the 5,064 flats in Phase IVA of the scheme were sold. The total number of flats sold through the scheme rose to 18,458, of which 15,046 were developed under the former pricing arrangements (under which land value was included in the flat selling price) and the · balance under the revised arrangements whereby land value is excluded from the flat sale price.

Next Quarter's Target

To complate the sale of flats in Phase

IVA; and to Invite applications for the 4,578 flats in Phase IVB of the Scheme

Private Sector Participation i Scheme (PSPS)

and Middle Income Housing Programme (MIHP)

Through the sale of land te private developers, subject to production of flats at pre- determined sale prices, to provide flats for sale to families meeting the HOS eligibility criteria, and to provide larger.. flats for sale to families with household incomes in excess of the

HOS limit.

(a)

Two sites at Chaiwan with a combined potential yield of 2,800 flats sold by tender for development under the revised arrangements which exclude land value from the sale prices of the flats.

(b) One site at Taipo (1,400 flats)

and one site at Yuen Long (1,086 flats); offered for development as PSPS projects.
