Purpose
To coordinate, consider and review
any necessary
amendments or revisions to major planning standards to reflect changes in policies relating to the utilization of land and to the scale or provision
Progress Made & Present Position
(a) Standards of provision for social
welfare facilities :
Ad hoc working group reconvened in response to LDPC comments on certain proposed standards.
(b) Review of the following major planning
standards are in progress :
Next Quarter Targets
(a) To seek LDPC
endorsement of the new/ revised standards.
(b) To work out revised/
new standards to be considered by the Planning Standards Sub-Committee.
(i)
Education : Kindergartens/ Schools
of various services and facilities.
(ii)
Recreation Facilities
(iii)
Retail Facilities in Public
Housing Estates
(iv)
Internal Transport
(v)
Parking
(vi)
Environment
(vii) Hospital and Clinics
(viii) Utility Services
(ix)
Offices/Major Centres.
7. Crown Lands
Resumption Ordinance (Cap. 124) Amendment

To revise the legislation dealing with resumption of Crown land.
A fourth draft of the bill and a first draft of the ExCo memorandum are now being circulated.
