built wholesale market ing

facilities for fresh foods

(a) Informal consultation with the Real Estate Developers Association showed a lack of interest for warehousing development. Commercial development is also not favoured but there is interest in residential development.

(b) Schedules of accommodation

for the two wholesale markets are being finalised.

To approach private developers with a mixed godown/offices development proposal for an aseessment of the likely premium from the overhead development.

To arrange for the schedule of accommodation to be vetted and tɔ proceed with detailed designing of the markets.

(a) Special conditions for

granting the Creek area were approved by the District Land Conference subject to minor amend- ments. Negotiations continue on the level of land premium.

(b) The Container Port

Executive Committee en- dorsed a trigger point concept for schedulling the development of additional terminals, based on a projected. growth rate of 6.5% per annum for the container trade.

To grant possession of the Creek arca to the .terminal operators

initially under an Advanced Possession Licence.

To report progress to ExCo on the expansion of the Container Port and to seek ExCo's advice on the trigger point concept.

To gazette the recla nation of one additional terminal to the south of the existing complex.
