(a) As regards Chek Lap Kok:

the airport master plan, together with meteorolo- gical, fauna, flora and marine environment studies are nearing com- pletion. Draft final reports have been circulated for comments. The different reports will be approved for publica- tion by DCA in early November and printed in the course of the month;

the civil engineering design studies' draft reports on the test embankment, the site preparation scheme, and the civil engineering infrastructures have been circulated for comment. Draft final reports are now under preparation. The civil engineering costs

and programme inputs have been passed to the airport master planners.

(iii) the financial evaluation

study is progressing satisfactorily. A draft final report is expected in December.

To ensure that the final reports of the studies are accepted and published on time.
