held at the end of June, the Replacement Airport Coordinating Committee agreed to extend the master plan consultancy by one month (to 30.11.82) made necessary by a 2-month slippage in the civil engineering design study.

The financial evaluation study started in early May and is progressing satisfactorily.
Discussions on air space management were held in Canton in early July between CAAC Canton and HKG officials.
As regards Deep Bay:
In May ExCo noted the decision not to proceed with a full-scale con- sultancy on Deep Bay.
To ensure that further slippage does not occur.
To ensure that work continues satis- factorily.
To further cooperation between CAAC Canton and HKG on air space matters.
