Urban Area Coordination Committee
To coordinate social and physical development in the urban area.
SCNTA assumed chairmanship of UACC since May 1982. Major development plans which have been examined include inter alia :-
(a) Aberdeen Development
(b) Kowloon Bay Development
(c) Eastern District Development
(d) Stanley Valley Development
The Committee is studying other related issues like the development of social welfare facilities in the urban area and the role of public input in the town planning
process.
To continue a systematic examination of impending development in the urban area; to ensure proper community facilities are incorporated in the development process and that deficiencies are being rectified.

Management
of multi- storey buildings.
To examine the problems
of multi-storey buildings and to explore ways of tackling them.
