Amendment in line with

the Building (Ventilating System) Regulations

General review with particular emphasis on the registration of lift and escalator engineers and technicians and on safe operation.

The Building (Ventilating Systems) (Amendment) Regulations put to the Executive Council and subsequently made, to come into effect on 1st August 1982.

The compensation aspects of amending the Ordinance to give effect to the Code of Practice for Access for the Disabled to Buildings are still being examined by the Building Development Department.

Amending Regulations put to the Executive Council at the same time as the Building (Ventilating System) (Amendment) Regulations and subsequently made, to come into effect on 1st August 1982.
