Data from about 30,000 records of disabled persons have been extracted. Government departments and voluntaty agencies started to collect data on new cases on 1 April 1982. Meanwhile the computerisation studies continue.

(a) The first vocational assessment

centre accommodated in the World Rehabilitation Fund Day Centre commenced partial operation cn 19 April 1982 with the admission of 12 clients. Full operation catering for 72 clients is expected by Lugust 1982 with the approval of staff for the centre.

(b) Director of Technical Education & Industrial Training is developing training curricula and assessment systems on the basis of the recommendations of the ILO studies in 1981. The consultant on technical aids and vocational assessment completed his return visit on 15 May 1982. The

consultant on training curricula

began his return visit of one month on 9 July 1982.

The review has been completed.

To complete the extraction of the remaining 65,000 records by November 1982.
