Lands and Works Branch Technical Circulars Nos. 1-6 of 1982 issued.

Drafting instructions submitted to the Law Draftsman for amendment of s. 2 to provide a definition of

cavern" for oil storage purposes and for the amendment of the Building (Oil Storage Installations) Regulations. Drafting instructions approved for the amendment of the Building (Ventilating Systems) Regulations.

The amendment of the Ordinance to give effect to the Code of Practice for Access for the Disabled to Buildings has been approved in principle, but drafting instructions must await examination of the compensation aspects, to be carried out by the Building Development Department. Proposals for the amendment of sections 24, 25 and 27 of the Ordinance have been extracted by PGBS from the general package of proposals for expedited action.
