Data from about 85,000 government records has been extracted. Government departments and voluntary agencies started to collect data on new cases Jon 1 April 1982. Meanwhile the

computerisation studies continue.

(a) The first vocational assessment

centre accommodated in the World Rehabilitation Fund Day Centre commenced partial operation on 19 April 1982 with the admission of 12 clients. Full operation catering for 72 clients is expected by the end of May.

(b)Director of Technical Education and

Industrial Training is developing training curricular and assessment systems on the basis of the recommendations of the ILO studies in 1981. The consultant on technical aids and vocational assessment returned on 15 April for a xsecond visit of one month. The second consultant on training curricular will make a return visit in June.

To complete the extraction of the remaining 63,000 Government records by by July/August and to start work on records kept in voluntary agencies (some 30,000).
