from the Home Office, the Office of the Director of

In accordance with the usual practice the interests

of the Dependent Territories will be covered by the UK

Delegation and any representatives from the Territories

will attend as part of that Delegation. The purpose of

this letter is to ask whether you wish to send a

representative to the meeting on behalf of your territory,

and if not whether there are any points on the Review

which you would wish the UK Delegation to raise on your

behalf. The cost of attendance and accommodation of.

Dependent Territory representatives will fall to the

Dependent Territory concerned.

In the case of Hong Kong I understand that the

Commonwealth Secretariat have sent documentation for the

meeting direct to the Attorney General; I should be

glad to learn in particular whether Hong Kong will be

represented. (Miss Chan's letter CR 10/2716/47 II of

11 August refers).

5. To assist the Delegation it would be helpful to

know how many applications your Government has made and

received under the Scheme since 1977 (inclusive) and the

number of those applications granted and refused respectively.

Applications to and from the UK should be included.

to the questions in paragraphs 3-5 above could reach me by 1.5.October..
