The Foreign and Commonwealth Office will pay passages for you and Lady Youde and one servant on first appointment and at the end of the appointment, together with the cost of baggage and insurance to the scales provided under Diplomatic Service Regulations for a DS officer of your grade.

7 During your term of office, you will come under the provisions of the Governors' Pension Scheme. A copy of this Scheme (with amendment) is attached. I have asked Personnel

Services Department in consultation with the Pensions Department, Overseas Development Administration, to advise you separately about the superannuation aspect.
