STAFF IN THE DEPENDENT TERRITORIES
1. You will wish to note the PUS's comment of 26 April on your minute of 21 April below.
2.
I am aware that a considerable amount of work has been done over the past two years on the staffing problems posed by the remaining dependent territories. I have lost touch with this recently and am not clear where matters now stand. I wonder whether there is any recent paper which summarises our plans for the future staffing of the dependent territories. If so it might be useful to let the PUS see this so that he is aware of the thought that has already been given to this problem.
