1. Reference your minute of 30 July paragraph 1(b).
2. There is an active branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Hong Kong. The Bran ch will, as usual, be sending two delegates, Hon F K Hu JP and Hon Maria Wai-Chu Tan, to the annual conference in the Bahamas in October.
3. As a Dependent Territory Hong Kong is not represented at the Commonwealth Secretariat as a member government. but attends ministerial meetings on a variety of subjects, e.g. law, finance, as part of a British delegation.
4.
In the case of the Commonwealth Foundation, while not a full member, Hong Kong makes a voluntary contribution to the Foundation and participates in meetings of the Board of Trustees.
