appeared to be in a good mood. In the late afternoon of Sunday 13th January she arranged with the deceased to go out on Thursday 17th January. His manner on the phone seemed no different than usual. That was the last time she spoke to him. She will describe the deceased as a polite gentlemanly person, very considerate and whom she would find it very hard to believe was a homosexual.

Mr. Richard Stanford is the Manager of the Waltzing Matilda Bar in Tsim Sha Tsui. He will state that the deceased had been a regular customer in the bar for 3-4 years, usually coming in twice a week. The last occasion he remembers seeing him was on Friday 11th January when he came in at about 2100 or 2200 hours with Matt Handley and another European. They had one drink and then left. He will further state that an arrangement had been made for them to visit the TVB studios that night with a person from TVB news called Ian Whitely.
