At about this time Mr. Nicoll noticed a chip in the plaster of the bedroom wall near an air conditioner switch which was close to a window. He lifted up a curtain and found a fired bullet that was lying on the floor. I picked up the bullet and took possession of it.

Mr. Nicoll and I then went outside the corridor and waited for a team to arrive and remove the body. After the body had been removed we then conducted a scarch and I found a fired bullet stuck in a drawer of a cabinet to the left of the bedroom drawer near the window. I took possession of this bullet.

A short time later we left the scene at about 13.30 hours and returned to CID Readquarters.

At the scene I formed the impression that Mr. KONG Cheuk-hoi was in charge of the scene and that Mr. Trottman, and later Mr. Pelly (ADS/KC) were there as senior officers looking after the interests of the deceased. I formed the above impression but was not told formally.
16. At the scene I cannot recall seeing anyone from the staff of the Government Chemist. There were a number of Folice. officers standing in the corridor but most of these appeared tobe residents of the flats and did not appear to be directly concerned with the investigation.

I have been involved in many hundreds of shooting cases and in many of these cases awabs have been taken from the hands of persona believed to have used firearms. I did not see this being done in this case and I did not hear it suggested. I did not suggest it should be done as it appeared to be a straight forward case of suicide. If such procedure is deemed necessary it is usually carried out by staff of the Government Laboratory though the B.F.I.B. has limited facilities for this type of test but we cannot detect traces down to the level as could be done by the Government Laboratory.

The above statement consisting of ten pages has been read over by me and is true to the best of my knowledge and belief.
