Police Super- vision

Ordinance

S.3(1) & (2). (Cap. 224.)

28. Any police supervision order made

under section 3(1) or (2) of the Police

Supervision Ordinance and in force immediately

before the commencement of this Ordinance

shall continue in force and have effect

for all purposes of the Police Supervision

Ordinance as if it were made under section

3(1) or (2) of that Ordinance as amended.

Explanatory Memorandum

The transitional provisions originally contained

in the Second Schedule to the Immigration Ordinance 1971

(No. 55 of 1971) were omitted from the 1977 and subsequent

revised editions under powers conferred by the Revised

Edition of the Laws Ordinance 1965. This has recently

occasioned doubts as to the continuing effect of those

provisions. The object of this Bill is accordingly to

restore the omitted provisions for the avoidance of doubt.

This is achieved by clause 2.
