Dear Sir,
APPLICATION FOR ENTRY TO HONGKONG IN ORDER TO
REUNITE FAMILY
See (13)+
如
I undersigned here: TRUONG NHU QUOI (TCHANG JOU KOET) (B ka ko t
sex: male. Date of birth: Aug 13, 1930. Place of birth: Cholon (original place of birth: Canton, China) Present nationality: Vietnamese (original nationality. Chinese). Vietnamese I.C. No. 00906334. Date of issue: Oct 3,1969, Saigon. Present address: 94/1 An-Binh Street, Cholon, Quan-5, Ho-chi-minh city, Viet-nam. I would be very grateful if you could kindly consider my application.
Thirty years ago, I left my family in Canton, and went to study in Kwangsi. Not long afterwards, owing to the Chinese civil war, I was to leave for Vietnam and was forced to take the Vietnamese nationality under the system of the late Government of NGO DINH DIEM. And unfortunately, my application for family reunion met a great deal of problems. Therefore, I had to reside here for about 30 years though I am unwilling to.
I was the only child in my family, my parents are over 80 and are both residing in Hong Kong. My father is CHANG CHUN WU, alias TCHANG CHENG PING
( 張椿梧 E446664) and my mother is TAM LAI CHING, alias THAM SI(
譚麗貞
B252495). Their present address in Hong Kong is: Siu Hang
Village, Castle Peak N.T.,TEL. NO. 0-817266. They have long been waiting for
>
the return of their son. They suffer a great deal from the agony of their count-
less disappointment. Recently, both of them are bad in health, especially my
old mother who is worrying and thinking a lot of me. She is now badly sick
and is facing the danger of death all the time.
I am their son, but I cannot take care of them. I should be thought as disloyal and I feel ashamed of it. I have tried to write to everywhere to ask for help, but all failed. As I know you are the one who is full of kindness and freternity and always support 'The case of family reunion' that has rebuilt a lot of broken families, so I write to you with respect to ask assistance from you, and do hope you could help me for the sake of my old parents in Hng Kong. I do believe that and is filled with confidence that you can help me to rebuild our family and make our dream come true. We are looking forward to your prompt reply.
Enclosed are:
1. My Vietnamese I.C. (copies)
2. My parents' Hong Kong I.C. (copies)
४
Respectfully yours,
