(1) of section 9 to the Immigration Act 1971

shall be construed as being references to the

immigration laws of the relevant territory;

(e) the words "citizen of the British Dependent

Territories" in subsection (2) of section 7

to enrty ad shall be replaced by the words "British Citizen";

(f) the reference in paragraph (b) of subsection (2)

of section 9 to section 2(1)(c) of the Immigration

Act 1971 shall be construed as being a reference

to the immigration laws of the relevant territory.

Status of British (Dependent Territories) citizen.

14. Every person who, by virtue of section 13, is a

citizen of any one of the descriptions specified in the

second column of Schedule 6 shall have the status of a British (Dependent Territories) citizen and the term "British (Dependent Territories) Citizenship" shall be

construed accordingly. *7
