I think that this is a point which will be

TERRY

canvassed extensively when it comes up for

discussion in Hong Kong as to what extent will

control of our TV be dictated from outside Hong Kong.

Yes, well I think it is fair to say that it is certainly the intention of the consortium of partners that the control of RTV will rest with

the Board (of RTV).

CLANCY

Yes, but I think you will appreciate that this will be a natural question that will be asked.

SCOTT

The sort of statement that you have just made is exactly what we need. There are going to be people in Hong Kong who will say: Why are we letting these Australians in and why should we

have outsiders in? Why cannot a local consortium

have the same sort of deal that has been arranged

between you and RTV? These are two related

questions on which we would like to get something

on the record we did discuss with Sir Ian McLennan

some months ago the matter of additional commitment. A figure was mentioned yesterday when I asked

what sort of amount of money you thought you might have to put in additionally over and above the agreement as it stands.
